May 14, 2010 - Eastern Coast of Greenland

Eastern Coast of Greenland

In late March the Eastern Coast of Greenland was still very snow and ice covered. Now that it is May, more bare ground is visible. The ice along the coastline is more broken up as well. The lack of snow does make the rugged terrain and fjords more readily visible. By July this region of Greenland may look more like this!
