Kurt Thome

Biography:
Kurt Thome received a BS in Meteorology from Texas A&M University and MS and PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Arizona. Thome has been with the Optical Sciences Center at the University of Arizona since 1991 and is currently an Associate Professor. He is a member of the ASTER and MODIS Science Teams, and the Landsat Calibration Team.
Research Area:
Thome's current research focus primarily on vicarious calibration. Other research interests include developing radiative transfer algorithms for remote sensing applications and improving ground-based methods for determining atmospheric and surface properties.
