Biography:
Dr. Woodcock's areas of specialization are remote sensing, particularly of forests and natural vegetation, environmental monitoring and change detection; land cover and land use change; terrestrial carbon dynamics; spatial modeling and analysis; and digital image processing. He is a team Leader of the USGS/NASA Landsat Science Team and the Chief Scientist for the USGS Program on Land Change Monitoring, Assessment and Projection.
