"Canopy Carbon and Water Fluxes from Terrestrial Vegetation: Development of EOS/MODIS"
Responsible for terrestrial biospheric carbon cycle analysis, including global landcover classification logic, vegetation structural definition, vegetation photosynthesis and respiration, and net primary productivity. Leads Boreas Modeling group, Coordinates EOS interaction with NSF-LTER network, Chairs IWG Land Group 1994-1996.
