Biography:
Dave Santek is an Assistant Scientist and program manager at the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he received his Ph.D. (atmospheric sciences) in 2007. His research interests center on determining winds in polar latitudes using the MODIS Terra and Aqua frequent overpasses and assigning wind speed and direction to motions of water vapor and clouds, for use in medium range weather forecast models.
