Sandra Yuter is the faculty advisor for the Cloud and Precipitation Processes and Patterns research group within Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences at North Carolina State University. Her research addresses basic and applied science questions related to clouds and precipitation. She tests hypotheses using multi-season and multi-year observation data sets obtained by in-situ instruments and remote sensing from radar, lidar and satellites. Her current research activities focus on shallow marine clouds and winter storms.
