Gusev, AP (2022). Impact of Climate Change on Ecosystem Productivity of the Belarusian Polesia According to Remote Data. CONTEMPORARY PROBLEMS OF ECOLOGY, 15(4), 345-352.

Abstract
The results of an analysis of changes in the productivity of forest, swamp, and arable ecosystems in the eastern part of the Belarusian Polesia in 2000-2020 are presented based on satellite imagery (the MODIS radiometer of the Terra satellite). The normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) was used to evaluate productivity. The correlation between changes in climate indicators and the NDVI has been studied. It is established that the ecosystems differ in their response to climate change. Statistically significant positive NDVI trends are found for forest and wetland ecosystems. No reliable correlation between this indicator and the average summer temperature and the amount of summer precipitation has been established. Arable ecosystems are characterized by the absence of a statistically significant trend in productivity and a significant negative correlation of the NDVI with temperature and a positive one with precipitation. The influence of climatic characteristics on the NDVI of arable ecosystems depends on their soil type.
