Abstract
The applicability of the data of ICON and GFS/NCEP global numerical weather forecast models for assessing snow accumulation in the Selenga River basin was verified using data from 2020-2022. The results are validated using snow survey data. Realistic estimates of the spatial distribution of snow reserves are obtained. The results are compared with ERA5-Land reanalysis data and MODIS satellite images.
